Stones made to help kids with back to school nerves
By Josie Sellers
The thought of a new school year made Charli Valentine nervous , and she couldn ’ t help but wonder if other kids felt the same way .
Valentine decided to help kids find a way to deal with their nerves by creating don ’ t worry stones .
“ I like crafts , and I ’ ll probably take one of these to school too ,” she said . “ It makes me feel happy to help people .”
The don ’ t worry stones are made of clay and have a thumb imprint on them to rub when the owner gets worried .
“ It gives them a way to focus their nerves ,” Valentine ’ s mom Bee said . “ She did different sizes for older kids to use too , and there are different colors .”
The stones can be picked up at Sixth Street
Tattoo . Valentine only asks for donations to contribute to supplies .
“ Hopefully , it will help kids not feel alone ,” her mom said .
Each stone comes with
