Various awards were presented and the Walhonding Rube Band and Chestnut Ridge Bluegrass Gospel pro vided musical entertainment. Chris COSHOCTON-After closing on May 8, the Coshocton Bowling Center re opened on Saturday, Aug. 12 to new owners, Jeff and Sue Oswald, Jim Mah an, and Benny Banang. "We didn't want to see Coshocton lose its only bowling center," said Jeff. "Benny and Jim were interested in going in together. They came to us and we decided to partner and buy it." Jeff has worked at the bowling alley for almost 40 years and has a lot of changes planned. "One thing we would like to do is cre ate more leagues," said Jeff. "Leagues are a guaranteed 30 to 32 weeks and that is what we depend on to survive." Another thing Jeff would like to do is encourage more youth to get involved with bowling and form their own high school leagues. "We are going to the local schools to get the youth involved," he said. "We are going to try to raise interest in high school bowling. Just about every town in Ohio has a high school bowling team except Coshocton." The bowling alley will have a grand opening on Friday, Aug. 25. Hours will be seven days a week starting in Sep tember from 11 a.m. - 10 p.m. and until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
