Nellie F . Lower , 88 of Bakersville , passed into the hands of our Lord on Saturday , July 31 , 2021 .
She was born in Plainfield , OH on Feb . 16 , 1933 , to the late Frank and Mary ( Bordenkicker ) Robinson and married Edgar J . Lower on March 12 , 1951 . They just celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary with a family and friends surprise party .
Together , Edgar and Nellie started the Bakersville Garage , a farm equipment dealership . The past 30 years they have traveled to their winter home in Florida where she truly did enjoy singing in the Florida church choir and helping with their special events at Citrus Ridge Neighborhood each year .
Nellie was a life member of the Bakersville Community Church where she was heavily involved in their activities , Ladies Aid and Faith Followers Outreach . Also , she was a member of the Bakersville Quest Club .
Nellie made the chili for Bakersville Homecoming and her famous Potato Salad Dressing

for the Bakersville Fire Department because she wanted to offer a helping hand . Nellie always was a caregiver of the Bakersville Community making cookies , pies and soup or donations to those in need .
Nellie will be sadly missed by her family and friends today and always .
In addition to her husband , she is survived by her children , Cheryl ( Tim ) Specht , Jerry ( Lois ) Lower , and Kim ( Jeff ) Bennington ; grandchildren , Jennifer ( Chris ) Chapman , Danielle ( Fred ) Wilson , Brooke ( Cory ) Miceli , Kyle ( Alexis ) Lower , Brock Bennington , Sarah ( Jared ) Wheeler , and Bethany ( Darren ) Green ; great-grandchildren , Brodie , Emma , Allyson , Grace , Madison , Brendan , Conner , Colton , Cassie , Hunter and Maci ; great-greatgrandchildren , Diana , Cedar , Paige , and Ellie ; her sister-in-law , LaVone Robinson ; and brotherin-law , Richard Lower .
In addition to her parents , she is preceded in death by her siblings , Bernice Harstine and Carl Robinson ; sisterin-law , Ruth Lower ; and grandchildren , Brock and Brittany Bennington .
Services were held Saturday , Aug . 7 , 2021 at 11 a . m . at Bakersville Community Church with Pastors Rod McBride and Peter Mathewson officiating . Burial followed in the Bakersville Union Cemetery with a lunch following in the Bakersville Community Park . Calling hours were held Friday , Aug . 6 from 4-7 p . m . at Smith-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek and 10-11 a . m . at the church prior to services .

Coshocton BPW continues to give
In July Coshocton Business and Professional Women members collected school supplies to donate toward Coshocton Regional Medical Center ’ s backpack project . This project pledged a backpack of school supplies to each elementary-age student in Coshocton County .
On Friday , July 23 , BPW members provided collected supplies to Kaylee Andrews , manager of business development and marketing for CRMC .
BPW , founded in 1919 , promotes equity for all women in the workplace through advocacy , education and information . Membership is open to men and women , employed or unemployed , who support the legislative platform .

Christopher “ Chris ” S . Davis , 62 of Zanesville , passed peacefully at 2:48 p . m . on Monday , Aug . 2 , 2021 , at Genesis Hospital following a sudden illness . He was born Friday , May 1 , 1959 , in the United States Army Hospital on the Ryukyu Islands , Japan , the son of Roy Davis and Jean ( Warman ) Davis . He married Rhonda ( McAuley ) Davis on Thursday , Oct . 29 , 1981 .
During his youth Chris traveled and lived all over the world as an Air Force child . He was a certified welder and spent many years driving at Davis Hauling . Over the past decade , he was the owner and operator of C & R Tree Service .
Chris enjoyed golfing , both playing and watching , as well as playing pool . He enjoyed WWII history and antique automobiles . He was a loving and caring husband , son , brother , father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family . He loved the holidays and was his happiest being able to help family and friends .
Chris is survived by his wife , Rhonda Davis ; one son , Christopher L . ( Veronica Armstrong ) Davis ; five grandchildren , Chloe Davis , Haylee Davis , Lily Camp ,
