Baby Expo showcases services for families

By Jen Jones
About 20 vendors gathered at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds on Thursday , Aug . 4 to show the community what services are available for families with young children .
Amanda Taylor works in the WIC and Breastfeeding Peer Office and said the event is always held in August , as that is Breastfeeding Awareness Month .
“ We want to bring awareness that breastfeeding is normal , to offer support to others and increase breastfeeding rights in the community ,” Taylor said .
While the clinic is income based , anyone is eligible for a free onetime consultation . They also refer people to the Appalachian Breastfeeding Network .
“ We also have monthly breastfeeding cafes and encourage everyone to check our Facebook page for more information about those . We partner with many other county agencies too , so we can offer as much support as possible ,” Taylor said .
Help Me Grow was another agency at the expo . Shana Miller said they wanted to be part of the expo to help get

“ We work with children from birth to age 3 . We provide therapies at no cost to the families . We ’ d like everyone who has a child with a delay or a disability to reach out to us ,” Grogro said .
