Obituaries

Dean Border , 91 , of West Lafayette , formerly of Heath , Ohio went to be with his Lord on Thursday , July 27 , 2023 , at Lafayette Nursing and Rehabilitation Center . God ’ s Word says in Romans 10:9 “ That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead , thou shalt be saved ”.
Dean was born on February 12 , 1932 in Bascom , Ohio to the late Jason and Chloe ( Haugh ) Border . He graduated Hopewell-Louden High School , Bascom , 1950 . He employed at Erie Army Depot , Port Clinton , Ohio then Newark Air Force Station , where he retired in 1987 . He served in the Army from January 1952 – August 1953 with a tour of duty in Korea .
On August 3 , 1952 he married the love of his life , Barbara Mae Naugle , who survives . Also surviving are his children Betty Lu Jackson , Yana Marie ( Tim ) Vogelmeier , Larry ( Carrie ), John ( Susan ), and Timothy ( Kimberly ); 15 grandchildren ; 16 great grand children ; and one great great grandchild .
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings Clayton , Dale , Don , Nevin , and Thelma ; son-in-law Terry Jackson .

Memorial service at the Victory Baptist Church , 355 Browns Lane , Coshocton on Saturday , August 19 , 2023 . John Edwin Ringwalt , age 88 , passed away July 30 , 2023 , at Altercare of Coshocton under the care of Community Hospice .
He was born Feb . 21 , 1935 at the Ringwalt Homestead in New Castle to the late Harry L . and Lizzie ( Fisher ) Ringwalt . After his mother Lizzie passed away , he was raised by a special lady , Helen N . Bechtol , who also raised the other Ringwalt children who all preceded John in death . They were Harry J . Ringwalt , Geraldine Ashcraft , Charlene Stingel , James L . Ringwalt , Mary Louise Ringwalt , and a baby brother who passed away after birth .
John was a 1953 graduate of Warsaw High
Monte Giesey , 67 of Coshocton , passed away on August 4 , 2023 at his home . The son of John and Alice ( Shepherd ) Bragg , he was born on April 15 , 1956 in Barnesville , Ohio . He was truly a jack of all trades , including wood working , mechanic , and bus driver instructor . He was active in the Freeport community , where he was a Lions Club member , a baseball coach and a Boy Scout Troop Leader . He was a self-taught musician , playing multiple
instruments but favoring the guitar . He had a strong

He is survived by his wife of 69 years , Colleen ( Taylor ) Ringwalt , whom he married June 20 , 1954 ; their two children , Tammy ( Bill ) Eddy of Illinois , and John E . ( Kris ) Ringwalt , Jr . of Warsaw ; his grandchildren & great-grandchildren , Staci ( Jake ) Thompson and Kinsley , Kerry ( Blake ) Kiefner and Chloe , and Billy Eddy all of Illinois , Ryan ( Katie ) Ringwalt and Palmer & Beckham of Sunbury ; and a sister-in-law , Kay Ringwalt of Danville .

He enjoyed gardening , boating , fishing and family time . He was a great story teller and loved to rile his audience while keeping a straight face . Monte was supportive of the interests of others , which made him a great gift giver . He was unconditionally proud of his children and grandchildren , to whom he was known as “ Happy ”.
Monte is survived by his children , Crystal Giesey of Canton , Stephanie Giesey of New Philadelphia , Ben ( Brandi ) Giesey of Coshocton , Jillian ( Joseph ) Bolon of New Philadelphia ; grandchildren , Logan Bailey , Jordan ( Sarah Sawman ) Carkin , Grayson Giesey , Jaxson Giesey , Hunter Bolon and Conner Bolon ; siblings , Scott Giesey , Larry ( Jackie ) Phillips , Rocky ( Tammie ) Phillips , Sharry ( Gene ) Adams , Shena ( Eric ) Wyler and Tina Phillips .
Along with his parents , he is preceded in death by his grandson , Clayton Carkin .
A private celebration of life will take place with his family and friends .
