On Aug . 2 Clary Gardens extended an invitation for people to come to the fairy gardens to help give them a facelift .

The fairy gardens are in the woods with mossy rocks and cleared spaces for children to leave a trinket or two . Some of the children brought their own trinkets , and miniature figurines , rocks , jewels , sand and fairy wings were provided .

“ This is our first event like this ,” Jodi Shrimplin from Clary Gardens said . “ We are excited to host it . We have always had fairy gardens out in our woodlands , and people would comment on them often . People just walking the trail would leave things along the way . So we thought it would be fun to just encourage the community to come and put things out . We have some things that people are welcome to put out , or they could bring

something if they wanted to put it in the garden .”

“ We have fairy gardens located throughout the 11 acres of woodlands here ,” Jessica Miskimens said . “ A lot of our guests have placed their own things all along the trail walkway . There is one area on the lower level that has been cleared off that is the designated fairy ring area . We thought we would give it a facelift today and give people an opportunity to add their own little touch . There are all kinds of trinkets , little glass beads , seashells , little mushrooms , fairy houses , figurines , little butterflies on sticks and all kinds of things people have left out there . It seems like every day as people are walking the trails , there are new discoveries of things people leave on the trail .
