Beat with mixer on high speed for 12-15 minutes until stiff peaks are formed . Explain the color white represents how God sees those whose sins have been cleansed by Jesus . Read Isaiah 1:18 .

Drop meringue by teaspoons onto a parchment paper-covered cookie tray . Explain each mound represents the tomb where Jesus ’ body was laid . Read Matthew 27:57-60 .

Put the cookie sheet in the oven , close the door and turn the oven off . Do not bake the cookies . Give each child a piece of tape and seal the oven door . Explain Jesus ’

tomb was sealed . Read Matthew 27:65-66 . Talk about the intense despair the disciples must have felt when the tomb was sealed and they thought they would never again see their friend and Lord . Read John 16:20 and 22 , then go to bed .

On Easter morning , open the oven and enjoy . Notice the cracked surface and the hollow insides . On the first Easter morning , Jesus ’ followers were amazed to find the tomb open and empty . Read Matthew 28:1-9 .

S ’ MORE BUNNY BURROWS

2 packages chocolate pudding , prepared according to directions

1 cup graham crackers , crushed into crumbs

2 cups Oreo cookies , crushed into crumbs

8 large marshmallows

1 package mini marshmallows 8 seven-ounce glasses or clear plastic cups Pink edible marker

Layer chocolate pudding , graham cracker and Oreo cookie crumbs , and mini marshmallow ( arranged so you can see crumbs and marshmallows against the sides ), ending with pudding and crumbs . Take a large marshmallow and roll it between your fingers to make it as round as possible . Take a mini marshmallow and cut small cuts into it with scissors to resemble fur . Dab some water on the large marshmallow and stick the small one onto it . Take 2 more small marshmallows and make them as round as possible with your fingers . With your pink edible marker , draw a bunny paw print in the middle of the mini marshmallows . Place the

bunny butt and feet in the middle of the dessert . Arrange Oreo crumbs around them . Enjoy .
