Nearly 75 people attended the banquet , where local dairy farmers , 4-H dairy showmen , and board members were recognized for their contributions to the production and promotion of the dairy industry .

The Coshocton County Dairy Services Unit held the dairy banquet on March 24 , at the Coshocton County Career Center .

The dairy services unit has been in existence since 1945 and has served to promote the local dairy industry . Additionally , the group has raised money for 4-H activities , development of opportunities for young people to show animals at the local fair , and improved facilities as the local fairground .

Long-time member , Maureen Pritchard-Sturtz said the group was excited to return to hosting the annual banquet , following a three year hiatus due to COVID-19 .

Nearly 75 people attended the banquet , where local dairy farmers , 4-H dairy showmen , and board members were recognized for their contributions to the production and promotion of the dairy industry . A special memorial segment was devoted to recognizing the efforts and contributions of deceased members .

In addition to enjoying a meal of pizza , snacks , and ice cream , the festivities also included the crowning of the 2023 Dairy Queen Taryn Tumblin , and Dairy King Hayden Kilchenman .
