Public notice is hereby given that on the 27th day
of February, 2019, the county treasurer of Coshoc-
ton County, Ohio, filed a complaint in the Common
Pleas Court of Coshocton County, Ohio, at Coshoc-
ton, Ohio, for the foreclosure of liens for delinquent
taxes, assessments, charges, penalties, and interest
against certain real estate situated in such county, as
described in that complaint.
The object of the action is to obtain from the court
a judgment foreclosing the tax liens against such real
estate and ordering the sale of such real estate for the
satisfaction of the tax liens on it.
Such action is brought against the real estate only
and no personal judgment shall be entered in it.
However, if, pursuant to the action, the property if
sold for an amount that is less than the amount of
the delinquent taxes, assessments, charges, penalties,
and interest against it, the court, in a separate order,
may enter a deficiency judgement against the owner
of record of a parcel for the amount of the difference;
if that owner of record is a corporation, the court may
enter the deficiency judgment against the stockholder
holding a majority of that corporation’s stock.

parcel, if available; a description of the parcel as set
forth in the associated delinquent land tax certificate
or master list of delinquent tracts (a complete de-
scription of the parcel can be reviewed at the clerk of

last known owner of the parcel as they appear on the
general tax list; and the names and addresses of each

Coshocton County “Applicant” and the
City of Coshocton “Partner” intend to apply
to the Ohio Development Services Agency
for funding under the Community Housing
Impact and Preservation Program (CHIP) for
Community Development Block Grant and
HOME Program funds which are federally
funded programs administered by the State of
Ohio. Coshocton County and City of Coshoc-
ton have formed a partnership and together
will apply for $700,000 in PY 2019 CHIP
funding. Coshocton County will be the lead
Applicant. The CHIP program activities are
all designed to benefit low-to moderate-in-
come households.
Based on recommendations from the Hous-
ing Advisory Committee, local stakeholder
input and local officials’ assessment of the
needs, the County proposes to include the
following in the PY 2019 CHIP grant appli-
cation: $210,000 in CDBG funds for own-
er-occupied home repair of approximately 16
units; $406,000 in HOME plus an estimated
$10,500 in City Program Income funds for
owner-occupied rehabilitation of approxi-
mately 10 units. The remaining $84,000 will
be used for administration and fair housing.
The activities are available anywhere in Co-
shocton County and City of Coshocton. All
activities must be completed between Septem-
ber 1, 2019, and October 31, 2021.
A public hearing will be held on Monday,
April 15, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. at the Coshoc-
ton County Commissioners’ Office, 401 ½
Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812. Cit-
izens are encouraged to attend in order to
comment on the County and City proposed
CHIP grant program application.
