Meet the Beacon Team Library program celebrates National Nutrition Month The Coshocton Public Library March 27 Count on Reading program focused on nutrition to help the Coshocton WIC offi ce celebrate National Nutrition Month. The weekly program uses stories, crafts, songs, and rhymes to enhance number concepts and this past week the activities also focused on the importance of healthy eating. During craft time, they counted out 10 diff erent fruits or vegetables to paste on a placemat that would be laminated for them to take home. Participants also had books read to them that had food themes and they enjoyed healthy snacks. Charles Litt en, pictured at center with his grandson 4-year-old Nikolai Clark, said Clark asks about the event when he picks him up. “He loves it,” Litt en said. “He’s really been able to come out of his shell.” For more photos, visit Positively Coshocton County PUBLISHERS statement THE COSHOCTON COUNTY BEACON is published weekly by Good Fortune Advertising LLC, 226 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812. If approved, the permits would allow the facility to convert two existing Class II wells to Class I status. An information session will begin at 6 p.m., on Mon- day, April 15, at Coshocton High School, 1205 Cambridge Road, immediately followed by a hearing to accept pub- lic comments on the draft permits. During the meeting, Ohio EPA will discuss the draft permit and the agency’s review of comments received during the fall of 2018. Because of extensive public interest and the number of comments the agency received, Ohio EPA has re-opened the comment period for the draft permits. If the draft permits are approved, the injection wells would be allowed to accept only non-hazardous wastes. To prevent drinking water impacts, these wells are designed for injecting wastes far below the lowermost source of drinking water. Ohio EPA will accept written comments on the draft permits through Friday, April 19. Anyone may submit comments or request to be on the mailing list for infor- mation. To comment or receive information on the draft permits, e-mail or mail: Ohio EPA, Division of Drinking and Ground Waters, Attn: UIC Unit Supervisor, P.O. Box 1049, Columbus, OH 43216-1049.
