SUGARCREEK - Garaway Local School District is seeking
public views on the proposed budget for expenditures for
the upcoming FY18 school year for the following federal
grant monies:
• Title I monies that serve students needing remedial
help in reading, math, and English language;
• Title llA monies that are used for teacher’s salaries for
class size reduction;
• Title Ill monies that are used to help students with
Limited English Proficiency to develop a strong language
development program;
• Title IV monies that the district may receive to assist
students; Ohio Department of Education has not clar-
ified the purpose of this grant or authorized release of
funding at this time.
• Title Vl-B monies that provide teachers and services
to special needs students
• No Child Left Behind/Every Student Succeeds Act
requires districts that receive title funds to notify parents
of their right to know the professional qualifications
of the classroom teachers who instruct their child. As
a recipient of these funds, Garaway Local Schools will
provide you with this information in a timely manner if
you request it. Specifically you have the right to request
the following information about: Qualifications and
licensing criteria, provisional status because of special
circumstances, certification, degree status, and para-
