Roscoe Village to have art contest
COSHOCTON - The Roscoe Village Foundation
is having a Canal Era Art Contest open only to
local artists. The purpose of the contest is to
raise awareness of our local history and show-
case the beauty of our heritage as depicted
in the works of our local artists. The subject
matter can be representative of either old or
new Roscoe. Submission forms are available at
the Roscoe Village Foundation Visitor Center
or The Frame Shop. There are two age catego-
ries: 18 and older, and 17 and younger. Entry
fees are $10 for each submission and a separate
admission form must be filled out for each

Sacred Heart students perform
The preschool through sixth grade students at Sacred
Heart School presented a spring concert/recital on
April 20. The students all sang and some played the

piano, while others played their recorders under the di-
rection of Mrs. Louise Cardenzana. The recorder group
was started this year for second through sixth graders.

and art submissions are due July 1. Judging will
take place throughout Member Appreciation
Day on July 22. All members may vote on their
favorite submissions, which will be on display
in the Lock Landing banquet room on the lower
level of the Visitor Center. Judging will end at
2:30 p.m. and the winner will be announced at
3 p.m. in the Lock Landing. For further infor-
