Ridgewood Local Board of Education shares updates
The Ridgewood Local Board of Education met in regular session April 17.
Stephanie Hawkins, payroll assistant to the treasurer, was awarded a continuing contract. Julian and Grube were approved as the district’ s Medicaid School Program administrator. Sedgwick was approved
as the district’ s thirdparty administrator and claims management for workers’ compensation and unemployment compensation claims
WWII veteran thanked
management services.
Donations were received from the following to be used for the RES Playground initiative: Block“ R”( Jones Metal), $ 25,000; Mc- Wayne Ductile, $ 5,000; The Montgomery Foundation, $ 10,000; and Christopher and Karen Cornetto RHS Athletics, $ 250.
The following donations are for the FFA Ireland trip this upcoming summer: Jane Mladek, $ 100; Palmbay Studio, $ 50; E3Drilling, $ 1,000; Todd and Rhonda Hogarath, $ 25; and three anonymous donations totaling $ 2,400.
Michelle Darner donated $ 100 for the
Drama Club costume for Emily Fechuch.
Superintendent Mike Masloski reported on the following items that were approved:
— Retirement for Sonda Bates and Carolyn Wilson, effective June 1, and Shelly Ogle, effective June 30.
The following voluntary transfers were awarded to Maria Prater, RES Title; Ashley Klier, RES Title; Allyson Lowe, RHS business education teacher; Jacqueline McPherson to sixth grade math; Ryan Lowe to third grade; and Dawn Ward to fourth grade.
Vinson Protect Plus Cybersecurity Services approved for $ 14,100.

World War III veteran Guy Cosmar, front left, accepts a card of thanks from Coshocton County Veterans Council Chaplain Gary Kilpatrick following a banquet dinner at the Coshocton Elks on April 9.
