Spring is the best season of the year , and these are 10 reasons why :

1 . Temperatures are moderate . It is a transitional time between freezing cold and scorching summer heat . No more bundling up beside the heater or staying inside near the airconditioning .

2 . Longer days begin and shorter nights , which means more hours in the day to get things done .

3 . All the critters are back : baby chicks , ducks and bunnies , birds chirping in their nest . It ’ s exciting to see the first

robin , a sure sign that spring has arrived .

4 . The sun and warmer temperatures actually make you feel happier and energized . Sunlight increases serotonin in your brain , and that makes you feel happy . It also decreases melatonin during the day and increases it at night to help you sleep better .

5 . The trees have leaves , and the grass is green again . Sunlight , warmer soil and spring rains make everything green almost overnight . New spring leaves are not only nice to look at , but also provide a cool canopy

from the sun . After being dormant all winter , everything is sprouting with colorful flowers , like crocus and yellow butter cups , which just makes you feel happy and lifts your mood .

6 . A nice , steady spring rain means the end of dry air . Plus listening to the rain on the roof is relaxing and promotes sleep . Opening the windows and letting the spring breeze into your home is better than any room air freshener .

7 . You get natural vitamins from the sun . Sunlight triggers your body to produce vitamin D3 , which makes

strong bones and teeth and improves your mood .
