Cleanup day volunteers thanked at council meeting

vehicles onto the streets . Instead , he suggested using trash receptacles placed on Main Street .
Mills also said land has been identified for the city to possibly develop . Additionally , Mills said he is currently having discussions with Pace Financing about a potential Pace Financing project downtown that would have both city and county benefits . Details are not likely to be known until late spring or early summer . Likewise , Mills is in talks regarding the consolidation of the city and county health departments .

At the April 11 city committee meeting and council meeting , Mayor Mark Mills expressed thanks to the 75 volunteers who showed up for the cleanup day that occurred April 9 .
Law Director Robert Skelton recommended council vote to go into executive session , allowing the mayor , service director , city auditor and himself to discuss a pending litigation .
City auditor Sherry Kirkpatrick said the city ’ s general fund is down to $ 444,000 and expressed the need for council to begin planning for the 2023 year .
Jeff Corder , property code inspector , addressed residents , letting them know the snow is gone , making trash very visible . He encouraged residents to police their neighborhood before the city does .
Residents who have attended or viewed council meetings recently , which begin at 7 p . m ., may have noticed council members have not been discussing issues pertaining to the city very much . Voting on legislation is mostly what has occurred at city council meetings . Residents who desire to know what is going on in the city and what is being discussed concerning the city should view the committee meeting , which starts at 5:30 p . m . The meetings can be viewed online by going to YouTube and typing in “ Coshocton City Hall .” Meetings are held the second and fourth Monday of every month .

Dinner theater planned in Newcomerstown

The Newcomerstown Historical Society will present the Olde Main Street Players in “ Mobsters Menu for Murder ,” a play by Steve Long .
The play is set in 1943 , and the village of Newcomerstown is holding a street fair to raise money
