Gage Summers has always been more of a basketball person , but this past year he decided soccer was the sport he wanted to pursue in college .

“ Growing up , I ’ ve always been around topnotch players ,” the River View High School senior said . “ This past summer at the Maysville showcase , I had a good tournament and realized I was actually pretty good . Midway through my senior year , I knew this was 100 % what I wanted to do .”

“ My best friend Drew Ireland goes there ,” Summers said . “ We ’ ve played soccer together for a long time , so it was on my list . Throughout the recruiting process , I felt like they tried to connect

with me on a personal level . When we toured the campus , I loved it . It ’ s small . I can thrive there academically .”
