Summer reading theme is ‘ Oceans of Possibilities ’
There are activities available for children and teens at the library this summer from June 2 to July 30 .
The Coshocton Public Library Summer Reading Program will kick off Thursday , June 2 . Stop in the library during operating hours to register and pick up your reading logs and activity sheets . Come to the east lawn of the Coshocton Public Library from 4-6 p . m . for the kick-off event . All ages are welcome , and this year ’ s theme is “ Oceans of Possibilities .”

continue to have Book Club for age 7-12 with books following the oceanography theme . The weekly teen Plugged & Unplugged programs will continue at Coshocton , and the monthly tween and teen programs at West Lafayette are still on the calendar .
There are two special programs planned by outside presenters . The Works will have a program on Thursday , June 30 at 6 p . m . at the Roscoe United Methodist Church . Thanks to a grant from the federal Institute of Museum and Libraries Services , awarded by the State Library of Ohio , the Akron Zoomobile will come to the West Lafayette First Baptist Church on Saturday , July 16 at 2 p . m . for a special program .
In addition to programs at the library and offsite , youth may participate in individual activities like scavenger hunts , bingo , and search and finds . These are available for pickup at each library location .
As always , the library encourages everyone to continue reading throughout the summer to maintain and strengthen reading

skills . Youth may record the amount of time they spend reading using paper reading logs or using a digital platform called Beanstack . Youth may earn coupons and prizes for the time they read , and they may be entered for a chance to win a grand prize .
The library would like to thank community businesses , organizations and individuals for their support of the Summer Reading Program . The Summer Reading Program includes crafts , activities , programs , prizes and other reading incentives provided entirely by community members , and the library is grateful for their support .
Similar to previous summers , Coshocton Public Library has coordinated schedules with Clary Gardens , Historic Roscoe Village , Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum and Pomerene Center for the Arts to maximize opportunities for Coshocton families to take part in youth programming . Youth who attend 10 programs at any of those locations may collect stamps to earn a free pass to the Lake Park Aquatic Center .
