CRMC will kick off annual Fill-the-Backpack program
Coshocton Regional Medical Center is kicking off the fourth annual Fill-the-Backpack program for school year 2024-25 .
Each year students pre-K to sixth grade in Coshocton County are provided a backpack filled with more than 10 core school supplies required by their local school districts . Schools included in this project are Coshocton , River View , Ridgewood , Newcomerstown , Coshocton Christian , Sacred Heart , Montessori , Head Start and Hopewell .
The goal of the project is to decrease the financial burden for students , parents and educators in the community . Coshocton Regional Medical Center would like to partner with local organizations , businesses and clubs to make this year ’ s project a success again .

Genesis offers free physicals
Genesis Orthopedic Sports Medicine is offering free sports physicals for student athletes from Monday , May 20 through Friday , Aug . 2 . Evening appointments are also available on July 10 , 16 , and 31 . The physicals will be conducted at the Genesis Orthopedic Center at 2904 Bell St . in Zanesville .
Appointments can be scheduled now by calling 740-586-6828 . A parent or guardian must accompany minors . Student athletes need to bring the signed Ohio High School Athletic Association ( OHSAA ) form to the appointment . Genesis Orthopedic Sports Medicine is staffed by orthopedic sports medicine surgeons , a physical medicine and rehab / sports medicine-trained physician , physician assistants , and certified athletic trainers . They treat orthopedic conditions and injuries of all types in addition to
providing sports medicine services .

Lingo wins big bass honor
Three Rivers Bassmasters held its first club tournament for 2024 with 10 members and one guest competing . The tournament was held at Buckeye Lake on April 13 .
