SUNDAY , APRIL 11 , 1971 Over 24,000 restaurants , attractions and places to stay are listed in the Mobil Travel Guide , and now one of Coshocton ’ s restaurants has made the list . The Old Warehouse has been selected to as part of the 13th edition of the guide .
FRIDAY , APRIL 10 , 1981 St . Andrews AME Church now has a new pastor . Hailing from Columbus , Rev . Eugene Collins will serve in the position . Previously Rev . Collins served as pastor of Cambridge ’ s Shaffer Chapel AME Church ; he will be taking over for Rev . Esau Williams .
THURSDAY , APRIL 11 , 1991 “ After 24 years of being a high school football coach , I have decided that I need to step down from the head coaching position ,” Chuck Mc- Masters said . Yesterday the 10 year Ridgewood High School coach announced he was resigning from the position . Under McMasters the Generals went 49-31 and held a winning record for eight straight years , an extension of his predecessor ’ s eight winning seasons . They won a single Inter-Valley Conference championship and finished second six other times .
SUNDAY , APRIL 8 , 2001 According to Paul Bryant , chairman of the Kids America Inc ., the Kids America sports complex will be ready to open by November of this year . The plans are now in place and work on the facilities will begin by the end of the month . Bryant joined the project five months ago due to his desire to allow his children to play in-door sports in Coshocton . At the moment the only indoor basketball and soccer league facilities in the area are located in Zanesville .
WEDNESDAY , APRIL 13 , 2011 On April 10th a 5k was held to raise funds for Lorren Foster in West Lafayette . The Ridgewood senior was in a collision with a semi-truck early into the school year last year , and as a result suffered serious injuries . She currently is in rehabilitation at Morgantown , WV . Ruth Miller , her grandmother , said progress is “ Slow . It ’ s a long , drawn out process . It will take a long while , but we will get there .” The 5k hopes to raise the necessary funds to allow her to continue her recovery after insurance stopped paying for it in March .
