NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING COSHOCTON COUNTY PY 2021 CDBG TARGET OF OPPORTUNITY – CARES ACT

Coshocton County intends to apply to the Ohio Development Services Agency for funding under the Community Development Block Grant ( CD- BG ) Target of Opportunity – CARES Act Program . The CDBG program is a federally-funded program administered by the State of Ohio . The County will hold a public hearing on April 12 , 2021 , at 10:00 a . m . in the Coshocton County Commissioners ’ Office , 401 Main Street , Coshocton , Ohio 43812 . The hearing is to give citizens an adequate opportunity to review and comment on the proposed CDBG Program grant application before the County submits the application to the Ohio Development Services Agency .

Coshocton County will be applying for $ 2,577,000 in PY 2021 CDBG Program funds . Local County funds in the amount of $ 1,050,000 is being committed for a total project cost of $ 3,627,000 . All work proposed for the grant is expected to be carried out between May 1 , 2021 , and August 31 , 2023 . The project under consideration includes :

The project under consideration is the installation of a new EMS building on Walnut Street in the City of Coshocton . The project meets the National Objective of benefitting primarily residents residing in the City of Coshocton and Tuscarawas Township , which is 53 % Low-Moderate Income per the U . S . Census Data .
