The Cornerstone The Cornerstone February 2018 | Page 5

HEY READERS! We are so glad you picked up a copy The Cornerstone this month. Our staff is blessed to welcome Ms. Rachel Zumbek as our new advisor and is looking forward to the exciting things to come with her as a part of our team. In honor of Valentine’s Day, the theme of this issue is “Love.” Our goal was to integrate the light-hearted fun that comes with celebrating the holiday, especially after covering heavier topics in last month’s magazine. Some of the articles featured in this copy include topics ranging from romantic date ideas, embracing your single self, and accepting the love Christ has for us. Our hope is that these articles will incite the love celebrated on February 14th and will carry it beyond the holiday. We think it is im- portant to integrate this love into our everyday lives and to show it to those around us by embodying the compassion God has given to us. By showing love to our neighbors, especially in a month when this is emphasized, we can ignite a community built on empathy and kindness. As always, we would like to thank our amazing staff writers for all of the hard work they put into the content of every issue. We would especially like to recognize our Design Editor, Grace Poutney, for all of the effort and dedication she puts in to making each issue look beautiful. Lastly, thank you to our readers for all of the support. If you have any feedback on our magazine, please email [email protected]. We would love to reply back to you.
