Coffee Shops
Places like Alta Coffee , Hidden House Coffee , Neat Coffee , Daydream Surf Shop , Portola Coffee Roasters , and Patch Coffee are perfect for dates because they are inexpensive , trendy , and ambient which allows the couple to focus on good coffee and even better conversation .
Activity-Based
Especially for first dates , it might be helpful to have some sort of “ to-do ” to ease nerves or create conversation . Places like Holiday Skate ( roller skating ), Anaheim Ice ( ice skating ), Concourse Bowling Center , and Camelot Golfland are great for dates because they provide fun activity that is sure to create memories along the way . Some other activities include hiking , like to Top of the World in Laguna , or going to an event like a sports game or a live show .
The Packing House & The LAB
Both the Packing House and the LAB are shopping center-like places that consist mainly of cool , unique places to eat and get dessert . These are great places for dates because both are trendy and fun to walk around , and they are filled with tons of options for great food . What makes these places especially great is they are fun during both the day and the night , so one can go any time .
The Beach
The most student-recommended date idea was the beach , and it is easy to see why . There are a ton of different things to do there , thus many activities to choose from , making it easy to go multiple times without doing the same thing over again . Activities can include grabbing food by the shore or a shake at Ruby ’ s on the Huntington Beach Pier . There is also paddle boarding during the day or even glow-in-the-dark paddle boarding at night down by Newport Beach . The Balboa Fun Zone also has a ton of activities right on the water . Lastly , grabbing a blanket and some food to make a picnic on the sand , during sunset or not , is a perfect way to enjoy each other ’ s company and the view at the same time .
