December 2016 Around the hallways she’s known as “Miss P,” but Petersen is more than just a French teacher. She’s a wife, a mother to three, and, more recently, a grandmother. Petersen enjoys spending time with her family. Her husband, Chuck Petersen, otherwise known as Coach P, is the OLu football coach. She has three kids: Chase, Brady, and Natalie. Her eldest son, Chase, lives in Texas with his wife and baby boy, Chance. Brady is a sophomore at the Naval Academy, and Natalie is a freshman at Orange Coast College. way she makes French intriguing and engaging. “Mrs. Petersen adds a fun element to learning, specifically when she teaches us a new concept through visual learning,” Coustaut said. Petersen adds flavor to the world of French and works hard so her students can walk out having learned French with a smile. Petersen’s legacy at Orange Lutheran has only just begun. In her five years at Orange Lutheran, she’s already influenced and inspired so many students and other teachers in the way that she teaches and in her investment in her students.
