Walking has many physical and mental health benefits , one of which is to alleviate stress . According to the The Huffington Post , going for a walk can improve your attention span up to 20 %. Henry David Thoreau , a 19th century American writer , said , “ An early-morning walk is a blessing to the whole day .” Walking also can make you more alert , so going on a stroll can help alleviate fatigue .
Stress can become a large part of student life , however , it shouldn ’ t overpower it . It is easy to feel crippled and helpless when anxiety and stress come into the picture . There are many ways to combat this like talking it over with someone you trust , having a healthy outlet like art , sports , or music , and remembering that stress can be temporary if the right steps are taken to alleviate it .
Adults and teens are dealing with the same amount of stress , which is an alarming fact .
