WINTER SEASON
WINTER WONDERLAND IN THE DESERT
December 2016
Winter Things to Do in SoCal
BY NICOLE NATICCHIONI
Christmas time is here. That means that the So
Cal weather is actually below 90 degrees and it is
time to bring out the cozy sweaters and sip on
some hot cocoa.
The Queen Mary has more to offer, including an
ice tubing luge, sleigh rides, and the North Pole
village. This Christmas wonderland lasts until
January 8th.
Southern California natives, however, miss out
on a few winter activities, but there is hope for a
winter wonderland. Many places around LA and
Orange County bring a little winter to this beach
oasis.
Located right outside the Staples Center in Los
Angeles, the LA Kings Skating Rink offers the
perfect outdoor rink for everyone.
After skating around the dazzling Christmas tree
and watching the holiday light show on the
screens around the plaza, go and enjoy a great
meal at one of the many LA Live restaurants. It
is an excellent place for a date night or hanging
out with family and friends.
Ice Skating in LA
For all of the ice skating lovers, this is the perfect
activity during the holidays. Los Angeles has
numerous rinks to offer. The Queen Mary’s
CHILL is a popular ice skating rink. The Queen
Mary is covered in beautiful lights with a large
skating rink right outside of it.
Shopping
Shopping is an enjoyable activity year round, but
it is even better during the holiday season. A
popular place to shop and do other fun activities
