TSDLYB Book-Signing Event Coming in February
With the Streets Don’t Love You Back team,
author Donna Buchanan will be visiting
the Copa the weekend of February 21, for
a book-signing event. Buchanan’s story has
made headlines around the world, and her
story that has been aired on the ID Channel
in more than a 100 million homes in 157
countries.
At the age of 14, Buchanan ran away from
home, living a life of drugs, violence, and
Donna Buchanan
abuse. She was convicted of second-degree
murder after stabbing her abusive boyfriend 54 times, in an act
of self-defense. After 13 years in prison, Buchanan was released
on July 4, 2013, and started her second chance at life—saving and
training Greyhound dogs that were scheduled for termination after
their racing days were finished. With her book, Buchanan hopes
to help others from taking the same road as she did. She is also in
talks to have her story made into a movie.
