What is Maricopa Relay for Life 2015? Some have asked, ‘What is Relay for Life?’ Through the American Cancer Society, Relay helps raise funds and awareness to fight cancer on a global wide effort. The months prior to the Relay Walk, all the teams that are signed up for their community fundraise for the big night in which each team will walk throughout the night. The teams “competing” will be responsible as to how they raise money and the top raising teams will be honored. The night of the Relay Walk, a member of each team must be walking on the “track” at all times—the idea being, “Cancer doesn’t sleep, and neither can we.” We encourage you to visit HeyMaricopaTV.com for our special video coverage of the 2014 Relay Walk. * The 2015 Maricopa Relay for Life will be held this year at Copper Sky, April 25, 5 PM to 6 AM, Tyler Music will start jamming at 5 PM. Official Kick-off is at 6 PM. * To be involved as a volunteer, sponsor, or to create a team please email: [email protected]. You can also “Like” the Maricopa Relay for Life Facebook page, and see how you can make a difference. Take Me Out To The Ball Game! Maricopa High School’s Baseball Squad is hoping to make a dream come true and asking for the community’s help. They are selling D-Backs tickets and if they reach a goal of 250 sold, the team will get to play a game at Salt River Field(D-Backs Spring Training Field). To play in a big league stadium, is a once in a lifetime opportunity, they are hoping can happen! The tickets are $20 each and are good for any game from April 7th through June 7th. They are baseline reserve seats which generally go for $37. Email Joel with any questions or if you are interested: [email protected] 18 18 18 COPA JanFeb ‘15
