Chamber sees steady growth membership in the Copa. Marla Lewis, Jay Soucie, Win Win Investment With new leadership, Maricopa Chamber of Commerce has seen positive growth over the last year with 77 new memberships, averaging 6.5 per month. “The growth has been steady and strong and does not include those who re-joined the chamber after having dropped at some point in the past,” said Marla Lewis, COO for the Maricopa Chamber. Stand Up Arizona event hosted by local residents On September 6, at the Arizona Event Center in Mesa, Maricopa residents Rob and Lucinda Boyd will be hosting “Stand up Arizona”, an event that will feature a celebrity panel of writers and guest speakers from across the country. Lucinda, who has served as editor for multiple books, including the recently released Real Love II written by Beverly Broadus Green, has been actively promoting the book that details the personal struggles of Green, who is also the mother of hip-hop icon, Snoop Dogg. Green will be among the guest speakers for the gang, drug, violence, and abuse awareness conference, along with “Freeway Rick Ross” who made national headlines in the late 80s and 90s as the notorious drug kingpin that was involved in the IranContra affair and who has also released his biography, “Freeway Rick Ross: The Untold Biography”, co-written by Cathy Scott.
