My first ghost experience happened in the
Copa! Upon arrival, my family took me
to the native grave sites and abandoned
churches where I took photos and creeped
myself out. I came home that evening to
feel a presence in my backyard. For a week
I’d acknowledge its presence and I even
snapped a photo!

We love our home here in Tortosa but do
not know much about its short history. I
do know that we share our space with a
friendly female spirit. She might be the
perfect roommate as she doesn’t make a
mess, eat our food, or borrow money. I
don’t see her often but she surprises me
from time to time at the end of the hall.
She spends most of her time upstairs
pacing back and forth in our master bedroom. There are many times I’ve thought
my husband or one of the kids must be
in my room up there, then I’ll remember
that I’m home alone. I’m glad she’s quiet
and content with just “hanging out” rather than haunting us. I’m the girl that still
won’t hang a toe off the edge of the bed
for fear something will grab it in the still
of the night.

One night while my family settled in for the
night, I turned out the lights. I was laying on
the couch, listening to my music. I was starting to fall asleep, when suddenly I was startled! In the darkness, at the foot of my couch,
there was a boy. Probably around six years old
. . . He was dressed all in white. He ran to the
foot of my couch, stopped and turned to stare
at me. He looked like he was worried? I immediately started calling out for my brother and
hit the light switch above my head. When the
light came on, of course there was nothing
there . . .

From time to time they make their presence
notorious in the house, I can feel them...I
know I am not alone, they turn electric equipment on and like to test our patience until we
give up and disconnect whatever they want to
keep turning on. There is this particular room
they like to spend [YH[
