My first ghost experience happened in the Copa! Upon arrival, my family took me to the native grave sites and abandoned churches where I took photos and creeped myself out. I came home that evening to feel a presence in my backyard. For a week I’d acknowledge its presence and I even snapped a photo! Sara Sutherland We love our home here in Tortosa but do not know much about its short history. I do know that we share our space with a friendly female spirit. She might be the perfect roommate as she doesn’t make a mess, eat our food, or borrow money. I don’t see her often but she surprises me from time to time at the end of the hall. She spends most of her time upstairs pacing back and forth in our master bedroom. There are many times I’ve thought my husband or one of the kids must be in my room up there, then I’ll remember that I’m home alone. I’m glad she’s quiet and content with just “hanging out” rather than haunting us. I’m the girl that still won’t hang a toe off the edge of the bed for fear something will grab it in the still of the night. I was starting to fall asleep, when suddenly I was startled! In the darkness, at the foot of my couch, there was a boy. Probably around six years old . . . He was dressed all in white. He ran to the foot of my couch, stopped and turned to stare at me. He looked like he was worried? I immediately started calling out for my brother and hit the light switch above my head. When the light came on, of course there was nothing there . . .
