As a celebrated jazz violinist , you have had the opportunity to perform alongside many popular artists in the music industry such as , Amy Grant , Bernadette Peters , and the Black-Eyed Peas . What has been the most unique performance experience you have had to date ?
Without a doubt , performing with a virtual Elvis . At the time it was a technological marvel . This production featured a full orchestra , a full band , a separate horn section , and backup singers . It recreated the entire experience of an Elvis performance – I mean , complete with him interacting with the audience via the video screens in the arena – it was all synced up so that it seemed like we were accompanying him . I saw people in the audience screaming and crying , it was truly a spectacle !
Are there any specific events , or locales where you enjoy performing most ? If so , where and why ?
I always look forward to boat show season because I do love the superyacht events a lot !
As I live in St . Louis , Missouri , our weather is pretty much unpredictable , so I ' m always glad to take the trip to sunny Florida . My absolute favorite place to perform is in San Diego – there is something about the ocean , the air ... I will tell you that I pout like a child when it ' s time to go back home after a performance there !
