I ' m pretty certain that I chose violin because of Sesame Street ! I remember seeing the great | ||
concert violinist Itzhak Perlman on that show and thinking , maybe one day I could learn to | ||
do that . When we had the opportunity to choose our instruments in school , there was no doubt | ||
that I ' d choose the violin . Even |
though I didn ' t have a lot of formal support in |
|
my early years of learning the |
violin , it was something that I felt compelled |
|
to keep doing . | ||
Now , singing is a totally |
different story . I sang in choir all |
|
through |
elementary |
and high school , I liked to sing , but it |
never occurred to |
me that I could be a professional at it . |
|
It wasn ' t until I |
met my future husband in my 20s , |
|
and he trained |
me how to sing and entertain , |
|
that I even |
thought it was possible . |
