John Regan Takes the
Helm at Associated
Industries of
Massachusetts
A.I.M. MUTUAL joins area employers,
legislators, and government affairs
officials in welcoming John Regan as
AIM’s new President and Chief Executive
Officer. AIM (Associated Industries of
Massachusetts) is the largest business
association in Massachusetts and
has sponsored A.I.M. Mutual since its
inception in 1989.
John’s appointment took effect on May
20, 2019, and he succeeds Richard C. Lord,
who retired after leading the organization
for two decades.

at AIM for 12 years. He joined the AIM
Government Affairs department in
2000 and was appointed Executive
Vice President in 2007. He has deep

issues such as healthcare reform, paid
family and medical leave, use of non-
compete agreements, pay equity, and
unemployment insurance rate freezes.
“My goals are to ensure that AIM remains
the preeminent voice for businesses on
Beacon Hill and to make Massachusetts
an attractive state for employers of all
kinds to succeed,” John said.
