Your sneak peek of the newly renovated Emergency Department at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Brenham .
xcitement is building as progress continues on a 5,000 square-foot expansion of the Emergency Department on our campus in Brenham .
Some refreshed areas are already in use , such as the expanded nurses station and several private exam rooms . Others areas , including the new entrance , lobby , registration , and triage areas , will open this fall . Construction work on the ambulance bay , trauma rooms , and additional exam rooms is currently in progress . The project will also include an exterior covered area for patient drop-offs .
Donated by the Piece Makers Ministry at Brenham ’ s First Baptist Church , this quilt adds a bit of fun and distraction to our new lobby area , featuring a maze visitors can complete while they wait .
Two “ fast track rooms ” help reduce wait times by providing a space to treat less critical emergencies .
Three new exam rooms will enable us to treat 60 additional patients per day .
The newly expanded nurses station will help improve efficiency and safety .
The Emergency Department renovation project will be fully funded by gifts from our generous community . At the time of publication , we have raised a total of $ 1,715,000 toward our $ 2.3 million goal .
