Beyond the Bag 2021
Providing 10 years of hope
s we plan to celebrate the 10th annual Beyond the Bag on January 23 , 2021 , little did we know we would continue to be in a pandemic that has created uncertainty and fear — similar to the feelings a person experiences when they are told they have cancer .
For 10 years , the Joan Katz Cancer Resource Center at Baylor Scott & White All Saints Medical Center - Fort Worth has remained steadfast , providing anyone with any cancer diagnosis free non-medical support services . The Joan Katz Cancer Resource Center creates certainty for patients and family members during a time of uncertainty .
After engaging committee volunteers in thoughtful conversations regarding the safety of our patrons and those battling cancer , we have made the decision to host the 10th annual Beyond the Bag virtually . On the bright side , we believe we will be able to reach an even greater audience

Despite the disruption created by COVID-19 , philanthropy has ensured that patients and family members have continued to receive navigation services , education , counseling , comfort , and hope . Because of your support , the Center ’ s nurses and navigators have continued to serve , meeting with patients both virtually and in-person to walk with them through each step of their journey .
In its 10 years of service to this community , the Joan Katz Cancer Resource Center has worked with more than 10,000 men , women , and their families . Join us Saturday , January 23 , 2021 , as we celebrate 10 years of the Center and 10 years of Beyond the Bag .
