PROGRAMS SPECIAL EVENT

Last year , over 1,600 men and women accessed free education , navigation and emotional support services though the Joan Katz Cancer Resource Center . This is a 30 % increase over the previous year .

Although the number of patients turning to the Center for guidance continues to increase , we are confident we can continue to meet the needs of our community with friends like you .

Since its inception 12 years ago , Beyond the Bag , hosted by Baylor Scott & White All Saints Health Foundation , has raised $ 3.3 million to enable certified lay and nurse navigators at the Joan Katz Cancer Resource Center to walk alongside anyone affected by cancer .

We are excited to share with you that the 13th annual Beyond the Bag event will be held on Saturday , January 27 , 2024 , at Ridglea Country Club . We invite you to partner with us for a special evening including dinner , dancing , live entertainment , and fantastic silent and live auctions .

Beyond the Bag truly goes beyond a celebratory evening . Funds raised from the January 2024 event will support expanding the Center ’ s non-medical support services , including navigation , education , support and comfort . Philanthropy enables all of these services to be provided free of charge , to anyone with a cancer diagnosis , no matter where they may be receiving their medical care .

Each year prior to the annual Beyond the Bag event in January , Baylor Scott & White All Saints Health Foundation hosts an exclusive Ladies ' Event and an exclusive Men ’ s Event to support the work of the Joan Katz Cancer Resource Center .

This year ’ s Ladies ' Event was held on the evening of October 17 at the beautiful home of Nancy and Mark Bayouth . Guests were invited to bring a donation for the Beyond the Bag auction and mix and mingle amongst the unique vendors .

Everything from the fall weather to the delicious custom save-the-date cookies was simply perfect !

The Beyond the Bag Men ’ s Event was a behind-the-scenes experience at Tannahill ’ s Tavern and Music Hall located in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards . This October 26 event was held in the exclusive Loteria and Backstage Club . Men enjoyed delectable appetizers and signature cocktails . Over 270 Lexus Raffle tickets were sold during the Men ’ s Event .
