COVID-19 LITERATURE SURVEILLANCE TEAM

As the COVID-19 pandemic spread across the US and the world in April of 2020, scientific and medical journals were overwhelmed with research and articles about SARS-CoV-2 and the disease it causes, COVID-19. Keeping up with the rapidly emerging information about the virus was incredibly difficult for healthcare workers, researchers, and scientists. In response, the COVID-19 Literature Surveillance Team (LST), a group of medical students, researchers, and physicians from around the world, was formed to read the research, grade the level of evidence, and share the “bottom line, up front” (BLUF) with providers in the form of a daily report, website, and weekly podcast.
