About the Author:

Amelia L. Bueche, D.O. is a specialist in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine with experience in solo private practice, group and large health care systems including time as residency program director.

In 2019, Dr. Bueche founded This Osteopathic Life, designed to expand the understanding and application of osteopathic philosophy to serve as guiding principles for a cultural revolution grounded in love and humanity. Program offerings have expanded to include Physician Coaching and CME focused on prevention and treatment of burnout and realization of inner potential. Currently an Osteopathic Health Policy Fellow, she is expanding focus and engagement to create meaningful, sustainable, systemic change for the health of all things.

Dr. Bueche has emerged as a leader in physician coaching, founding Coaching for Institutions, a collective of physician coaches serving to cultivate, implement and manage programs for medical schools, residencies, hospitals/health care systems and medical organizations. She is also the Chair of Coaching for AMWA IGNITE, facilitating programs that empower, encourage and engage female medical students from the earliest stages of training. She is a founding member of the Physicians Anti-Racism Network and is collaborating to create programs utilizing coaching as a tool to address the public health crisis of racism. 

Dr. Bueche is an educator, administering a virtual course for the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is a speaker, lecturing nationally on osteopathic and coaching concepts, hosting the This Osteopathic Life podcast and has been featured as a guest on many others. She is a writer, with blogs at This Osteopathic Life and MamaTriDOc and is featured regularly on KevinMD.

It is to demonstrate the 'and' of osteopathic medicine along with the opportunity granted to give fair credence to the mind and spirit for the greater benefit of the patient.
