Alfond Center for Health Sciences

Leonard Hall

Additional COM space became a reality with the building of the Alfond Center for Health Sciences in 1996. The Alfond contains numerous laboratories, lecture halls, anatomy lab, OMM lab and clinic.

Here’s a fun fact – Did you know from above, Alfond is in the shape of a water molecule?

Over the last 40 years our class size has gone from 35 to 165 students per class year. Named in honor of UNE COM scholarship donors Robert Leonard DO ’86 and Kathryne Leonard DO ’86, Leonard Hall is one of the largest interactive classrooms of its kind, seating up to 285. The room features movie-size video screens, ceiling-mounted projectors, cameras for video capturing, and wired-in group study tables.
