Dean Jane Carreiro, DO has been working incessantly to make sure the UNE COMmunity is taken care of academically, professionally, and personally. Faculty member, Ling Cao, MD, PhD, attended a virtual Capitol Hill Day as a member of the Scientific Policy Committee (SPC) for FASEB (the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology). In addition, she was involved in Zoom meetings with staff members in Senator Angus King’s office advocating for the federal role in supporting critical biological and biomedical research. Dr. Cao also participated in meetings with Senator Susan Collins' Office and Chellie Pingree’s Office, Congresswoman for Maine.
