Jonathan Bayuk, DO ‘00

Allergy & Immunology

Jonathan Bayuk, DO works at AIANE: Allergy & Immunology Associates of New England in Massachusetts. To help educate his patients on how to keep safe and healthy during the pandemic, he created a video tutorial, “Dr. Bayuk Breathe Video 2020,” accessible to all on YouTube.

In the video, Dr. Bayuk explains how proper hand-washing can help mitigate the spread and contraction of the virus. Of course, everyone has varying degrees of risk and susceptibility, but if you do get sick, he provides guidance on how to help your lungs during the illness. Although it seems counterintuitive, resting on your back during the course of the illness jeopardizes the lungs, and can put you at greater risk. Instead, move, and expand your lungs with the provided breathing exercises.
