Service has a long tradition at UNE COM. Since its inception, medical students have participated in countless hours of community service locally, nationally and across the globe with various volunteer and service-learning organizations. Most of UNE COM’s student-run clubs and organizations raise money each year for local non-profit organizations that have included Toys for Tots, the Travis Mills Foundation, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, and many others. From June 1st through December 31 of this academic year, UNE COM students dedicated 2508 hours of community service (an average of 6.8 hours per student).
