If you were fortunate to attend UNE COM's Fall CME & Alumni Weekend last month, you may have seen Steven Fern, DO '89 lecture on "Hot Topics in Liver Disease." He did his internship and residency in St. Louis, MO, and his GI Fellowship at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, MI. He currently practices in St. Louis, MO, and is the Director of the GI Lab at Missouri Baptist Medical Center. He is also the chairman of the local chapter of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, a national nonprofit committed to ending colorectal cancer within our lifetime.
Sadly, over 35,000 people will lose their battle to colorectal cancer this year alone. Colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable types of cancer, and yet it is the second leading cause of cancer death in the United States. Steven Fern, DO ’89 is committed to raising $3000 for the Colorectal Cancer Alliance by participating in this year's RunWalk on March 21, 2020. Please support his involvement in the Undy RunWalk with a tax-deductible donation. You may also print a donation form.
"Your support will help us prevent colorectal cancer and save lives," Dr. Fern says. "Every donation gets us closer to our goal of eliminating colorectal cancer in our lifetime."
