Starting July 1, 2020, Alyssa Mixon, DO ‘16 PGY4 will be the first Cancer Rehabilitation Fellow in Philadelphia, spearheading the program at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Mixon says she is “so excited to start (just have to graduate from residency first) and wanted to say thank you to UNE COM and all the amazing professors, attendings, teaching assistants, residents, nurses, therapists, and ancillary staff for helping me along my medical journey as a student.”
Students interested in Cancer Rehabilitation or COM Clubs or Orgs interested in bringing her to campus to speak may reach out to her. “It is a small but growing field and we need more representation,” she says. Learn more.
