STUDENT DOCTORS OF THE MONTH
August
Congratulations to the Student Doctors for the month of August. Emily Hill, OMS-II was nominated for her involvement in the SGA and her work in the implementation of the "SKIMM," a quick recap of the need-to-know information for COM students on campus. Laura Knapik, OMS-I has shown her ingenuity and initiative by creating a drawer in the anatomy lab for feminine essentials. She has also been active in the student chapter of the National Osteopathic Women Physicians Association (NOWPA).

Congratulations to the Student Doctors of the Month for September. Thomas Oram, OMS-I (left) is notorious for using his musical talents to help his peers in the anatomy lab and for being an enjoyable addition to the COM family. Mark Bernardo, OMS-II (right) has brought notoriety and pizzazz to the Culinary Medicine Club. Everywhere you turn (from Chili Bowl to the Maker Faire), Mark makes people smile with his delectable treats and contagious personality.

Congratulations to the Student Doctors of the Month for October. Sam Frykenberg, OMS-I continues to lift his fellow classmates with his cheery disposition and kind heart. He is quick to help others either in the classroom or out. Samantha Culver, OMS-II is a huge advocate for her fellow students and the profession. She is committed to making a difference in her community and through outreach. Her involvement as the President of SOMA, and as the Student Government Association (SGA) Ethics Committee Chair is just the tip of the iceberg for how Sam will continue to impact the world around her.
