Congratulations to: Lieutenant Michael Burns (Navy), Captain Hal Blegen (Army), Captain Maeghan Ciampa (Army), Lieutenant Alejandro Cuesta (Navy), Captain Cory Dearborn (Army), Captain Heidi Dearborn (Army), Captain Alecia Hagman (Air Force), Captain Jacqueline Jones (Army), Captain John Levasseur (Air Force), Captain Michael Moulton (Air Force), and Captain Seth VanDerVeer (Air Force). Lastly, Second Lieutenant Hal Blegen, US Army, congratulated the COM Class of 2018 for their great accomplishment.

SGA, DEEPDISH, AND THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES

Representatives from the COM Student Government Association (Philip Lee, Sean Grogan, Maria Jones, and Sam Culver) flew to Chicago for the Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents (COSGP) and the AOA House of Delegates summer meeting.

HIKE FOR CHORDOMA

Over 60 of the UNE COM community convened at Bradbury Mountain on Saturday, July 14th in Pownal, ME in order to participate in “Hike for Chordoma,” which raised money for a rare strain of cancer. The event was organized by OMS-II student, Seth Butler, member for the Wilderness Medicine Club, and featured students and faculty who also took part in a potluck to celebrate after the event.

The event raised $4879 and also received donations from the COM Student Government Association, Sodexo, Biscuits and Company, and other student clubs and organizations.
