ORIENTATION CAME EARLY THIS YEAR

UNE COM welcomed the new COM Class of 2022 for Orientation a month earlier this year on June 28-29, 2018. Students from across the country took part in their introduction to the school, curriculum, and all the services available to them. One of the highlights of the two-day experience included the student-led icebreaker, where newly formed case base learning (CBL) groups had to work together to move peanut M&Ms through a Rube Goldberg-inspired construction made out of recycled Diet Coke bottles. The Clubs & Organizations Fair was also a hit, where students could sign up for over 40 clubs and orgs, sample new treats from the Culinary docs, and learn about some of the local organizations available to them. The weekend ended with a mixer where new students mingled with their Orientation Leaders, faculty and staff over a delectable raw bar and slider station in the newly constructed Commons.
