Where are you going for residency?
Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, NY for Internal Medicine.
How did you feel as you opened that envelope on Match Day?
I don’t really remember the act of opening my envelope because I was really nervous, but I was so thrilled when I saw where I was going and that I would be with Steph. As a classmate put it, we would finally have “one kitchen.” The most memorable part for me during that day was in
the minutes following the unveiling of everybody’s locations and just being around all the positive energy in the room.
What specialty did you decide on and how did you decide on it?
I love being able to help patients with the wide variety of complexities and challenges that are seen in general Internal Medicine and am drawn to the hospital environment. I became certain about Internal Medicine during my third year Internal Medicine rotation in Presque Isle, which was a truly rewarding experience.
