The fidelity of communication is related to the noise term that was
proposed by Shannon and Weaver in their information theory.
The noise is due to numerous causes, for example, to electronic
components, to the terminating noise of the resistances, to the
interferences of external signals, among others. The noise greatly
affects the fidelity of the communication when it introduces
dislocations in the message that has been sent to the receiver. It is
indisputable that, as noise is eliminated, fidelity increases and as a
result, the effectiveness of communication is fulfilled. The noise may
be a consequence of how good or bad the message fidelity is in
Shannon and Weaver's model.
The effectiveness of communication will depend on the extent to
which noise can be isolated or avoided.
