Modern educational methods have focused on learning information but in the digital age the easy access to information has made less important the concept of“ knowledge.” Today’ s youth are asking questions such as“ How has knowledge been used, how has it spread and what are the results of knowledge?” This can be observed as a sign of a big transformation in young minds.
The new part in this transformation is understanding among young people that information is not fair. They are questioning the creation of information and how it affects people. This awareness is clearly seen in the fields of artificial intelligence, data analysis and digital content creation. For example some young people are not satisfied with simply producing code. They are also discussing whether the information they produce is can be use in a wrong way.
Building a sense of responsibility about information improves careful thinking among young people. Instead of quickly sharing information, young people usually check it, look at its sources, and evaluate its effect. For example youth communities against false information check many sources before creating content. This approach is a important new way of thinking that stops information from causing social harm.
This transformation from simply being informed to being responsible for that information is one of the most hopeful transformations observed in today’ s youth and has the potential to reduce risks in a world where information spreads very fast. This led by young people mental shift helps rebuilding the relationship with information on a more ethical, aware and strong base.
