82 groups to rebel, which increased internal problems. By the 19th century, the Ottoman Empire was close to collapse, and different ideas appeared among Ottoman intellectuals.
With the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the Turkish nation became aware of the situation. After the establishment of the Republic of Türkiye, the people gained their rights and national sovereignty. Although there have been difficult times, the Turkish nation has continued to live in unity and solidarity thanks to Atatürk’ s ideas.
Atatürk said that“ The Turkish nation has the ability and strong determination to move forward on the path of civilization without stopping.” He also said that“ Success on the path of civilization depends on renewal.” He explained revolution as“ removing old institutions that held the nation back and replacing them with new ones that help the nation reach a higher level of civilization.” He also reminded the people that“ The real owner of the political and social reforms is the nation itself.” Finally, he expressed his ideas with these words:“ It is not necessary to see me. If you understand and feel my ideas, that is enough.”
